Your Denture assessment

Visiting a Dentist for your new dentures can be a daunting or embarrassing prospect for some patients.

That often leads to patients putting off replacing their dentures until either the denture eventually breaks or another dental problem arises that requires professional help. One of the common concerns is having dentures made that will look completely different to your existing set, again this really is something we can reassure you with, we can provide new dentures that reproduce the appearance of an existing set.

Replacement dentures options

Depending on the type of denture you have, on average your dentures need replacing approximately every 5 to 7 years, with regular denture assessments during that period.

As a general rule, the longer you leave it to replace your denture, the harder it is for us to reproduce your original biting position and provide dentures that you will be comfortable with.

It is also well worth writing down any questions in advance, which you can then discuss with Dr Antonious at your consultation, that puts you in control of your treatment and prevents any unnecessary anxiety.
